How Do I Cancel My GPS Tracking Service?

Service can be canceled from the app or from the web account. Cancellation stops future charges and ends tracking at the end of the current billing period.

Cancel using the mobile app:

Open the GPS tracking app and select Resources, then Account Management. Enter the account password or PIN when prompted. Choose Cancel Service, then select Deactivate. Monthly charges stop immediately, and service ends after the current paid month.

Cancel using the web account:

Sign in to the web account dashboard. Open Account Settings, then select Manage Devices. Choose Deactivate next to the device needing cancellation. Monthly billing stops, and service ends after the current paid month.

Prepaid plans:

Prepaid plans cannot be paused or canceled early. Prepaid service does not auto renew. Tracking automatically ends when the prepaid term expires unless renewal is selected before the end date.

Why Is My Outlaw GPS Tracker Not Updating?

Tracking issues usually come from placement, power, or settings. So let's take a look at each of the situations and figure out what is going on.

Check placement first:

Poor placement can weaken GPS and cellular signals. Trailers, vehicles, and equipment need open sky exposure. Avoid fully enclosed metal areas when possible.

Check power or battery level:

A drained battery stops location updates. Hardwired setups should confirm a steady power connection. Battery-powered setups should confirm sufficient charge.

Check tracking mode:

Energy Saver mode limits updates to scheduled check-ins only. Motion-based tracking must be reactivated from the Energy Saver menu. Full tracking resumes after the next scheduled check-in.

Where Is The Serial Number On My Outlaw GPS?

The serial number is printed on the back of the GPS tracker.

Look for a 10-digit number starting with 888, 555, or 777. A QR code appears above the serial number. Scanning the QR code during app activation automatically enters the serial number and speeds up setup.

Can Multiple GPS Trackers Use One Account?

Yes. One account can manage multiple GPS trackers. Each active tracker requires a separate service plan. Tracking, alerts, and settings stay organized under the same account for easy management.

Why Does The Tracker Show a Chicago Location?

Chicago appears as the default location before the tracker sends the first real GPS update.

A “Never Reported” message means no location data has reached the account yet. Confirm the tracker has power. New users should see indicator lights when the tracker is unplugged.

Take the tracker outside for a 10 to 15 minute walk or drive. Open sky exposure allows the tracker to connect, complete activation, and begin sending live location updates to the account.

Can You Remote Reboot or Wake-Up My Outlaw GPS?

No. Remote wake-up or reboot is not supported.

GPS trackers connect when motion occurs, unless Energy Saver mode is active. Without movement, no update is sent. If tracking problems continue after movement, contact the technical support team for further assistance and troubleshooting.

How Can Battery Life Be Checked?

Battery life appears inside the app or web account.

Select the tracker icon on the map to open the device details. Battery-powered trackers display an estimated battery level. Hardwired trackers display a wired power status when connected to a vehicle or external power source.

How Do I Change My Data Plan?

Service plans can be changed from the app or from the web account.

Sign in to the GPS tracking app or the web account dashboard. Open Manage Devices, then select Change Plan next to the tracker serial number. Upgrades charge the price difference. Downgrades credit the difference back to the account. The next billing cycle reflects the full price of the selected plan.
